Lisa is a respected senior project manager with close to 30 years practicing architecture. With a wealth of client experience, Lisa has led iconic projects ranging from civic spaces such as Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park, to higher education such as Michigan State University Brody Hall. She is dedicated to sustainable design and committed to diversity, equity, inclusion, and social justice. Lisa challenges each project team on how we might achieve inclusive, equitable, and sustainable design that welcomes all and reduces the project’s environmental impact.

While Lisa’s expertise extends across numerous markets and project types, her passion is in higher education. She understands the challenges facing colleges and universities and knows how to navigate the pressures of budget and schedule. Lisa loves being on campus working with architects, engineers, and students to create safe and inclusive human-centered environments that enhance the student experience and facilitate learning, socialization, and a feeling of belonging.

As a trailblazer for the firm, Lisa led the DEI committee shortly after joining and serves on the sustainability green team. In addition to being a past team leader, Lisa currently leads the project management discipline, provides leadership for adjacent disciplines, and is an advocate for her female colleagues aspiring to be leaders.

“I enjoy the journey,” says Lisa, “learning from our interesting clients, leading high performing project teams, and nurturing the project through the process where architecture can become the bridge that connects education, human-centered design, and the environment.”
