This project consists of a modern campus library and thriving student center, with meeting rooms, computer labs, open study spaces, special collections and archive spaces, and multi-media production services.  Featuring a three-story, 27,000-square-foot glass and steel addition to the existing Jarecki Center, also designed by Progressive AE.  The project is USGBC LEED Silver Certified.

Objective

Provide modern learning accommodations to enhance recruitment to the liberal arts college and encourage use of the library to ultimately improve the success of learners.

Outcome

The area around the library is alive at night; a nearby student and faculty café is busy in the evening since the opening; usage has increased and patrons are staying longer.
