Scale

10,000 square feet

Bank of the Ozarks out of Little Rock, Arkansas, chose Progressive AE to design a Carolina headquarters in Charlotte, that also incorporated a retail banking center. The project represented the bank’s push for a larger stake in North Carolina after acquiring Woodlands Bank based in South Carolina in 2010 and merging with First National bank of Shelby in 2013.

Keeping the craftsman-style architecture theme used in their other retail locations, we created a state-of-the-art office space for employees that  also operates efficiently for bank customers. The new 10,000 square foot facility includes 3,500 square feet of retail banking on the ground level and offices on the second floor. In keeping with restrictive zoning constraints for this section of Park Road, a major north-south artery in Charlotte, we tucked the drive-thru teller and ATM under the second floor of the building and behind a street-front facade.
