Part of The District Detroit revitalization project, One Eleven West will be a mixed use, eight-story, loft-style building with 81 “micro apartments” ranging in size from 400 to 500 square feet. Upper floors will feature one- to two-bedroom luxury-style apartments with expansive glass walls and private balconies. With keyless entry and floor-to-ceiling windows, the building’s modern design and features are meant to appeal to young professionals looking for a contemporary apartment in the heart of the Woodward Square neighborhood. The building will feature outdoor balconies looking out onto Henry Street and down to the Little Ceasars Arena Chevrolet Plaza. A garden patio with community kitchen will let residents host guests and mingle in an open-air, rooftop environment that keeps them a part of the active street below. A six-story attached parking structure will line the back of the building to allow for tenant vehicles.
Retail space will be available throughout the building’s ground level for restaurant and traditional retailers, creating a more vibrant “live-work-play” atmosphere. One Eleven West is part of the largest single announcement of new apartment units in more than 20 years in Detroit.
