Patterned after the Hudsonville project, Progressive AE was hired to develop and document a similar continuing care retirement community housing 103 independent living units (one and two bedroom apartments) and 53 units of assisted living, which includes 12 to 15 units for Alzheimer’s patients,on 13.82 acres in St. John, Indiana. The congregate care building is approximately 202,000 square feet with 40 underground resident parking spaces. In addition to the resident rooms, the facility includes a beauty salon, dining room, cafe area, multi-purpose room, game room, kitchen, administrative areas, computer distance learning room, living room and gathering area, aerobics and activity room, guest suites. The facility is equipped with a 6,300 square foot wellness facility that includes an exercise area, pool, locker rooms, and lounge spaces. A future addition to house a skilled nursing component is planned, as well.
