This large, performing arts-based worship center also has complementary ministry support spaces for congregational life. The site was difficult and had a high degree of natural topography. The 4,800-seat worship center (which is expandable to 9,000) has broadcast-quality sound, lighting, television, and audio-video capabilities. The project also includes 26 nursery and pre-school classrooms that can contain 520 children, a full-service café and bookstore and distributed coffee and hospitality stations, and a 300-seat chapel for smaller groups.

The focus for this Youth Ministry space is a multi-sensory, integrated worship environment. Progressive AE designed and orchestrated the systems and architectural aesthetics through many dimensions:

  • Theming and coordination of the concept for the room
  • Interior outfitting of finishes and furniture
  • Technical application of sound, lighting, A/V systems, screen size and location, and monitor siting

The acoustical properties of the architecture are able to handle an arena-style rock concert and blend in with the aesthetics of the space. Surfaces and textures are integrated into the design of the house sound system and are able to incorporate various touring setups. Screens and platforms allow for optimal seating and viewing angles while maintaining the intimacy between performer and audience. Mechanical and electrical systems integrated seamlessly into the other technical needs of the room.
