2015Objective
To transform this existing store into a brand new concept called the “Store of the Future”. The newly renovated store was meant to provide a fun and interactive experience to all of its customers, big and small.
Outcome
High-level of excitement and anticipation in the community with a warm reception. Toys “R” Us now has a model store for the new design concepts to observe and verify the new program is creating a better shopper experience for their guests and consider what elements will be the new prototype standard for the remainder of the chain. The architectural and structural engineering design retrofitted the existing storefront into a 50 feet clear span and the electrical engineering accommodated new IT systems for interactive displays. In addition, we expedited local planning board approvals to allow fast-track construction and grand re-opening in time for the 2015 holiday season. We worked in conjunction with Dalziel & Pow and were the architect and engineer of record.
