Progressive AE is proud to share that the company is a 2017 recipient of a Governor’s Fitness Awards for a healthy workplace. The event is sponsored by the Governor’s Council on Physical Fitness, Health and Sports in conjunction with the Michigan Fitness Foundation. Progressive AE accepted the award for “Healthy Workplace – Large” category. The award was presented by J.J. Tighe, President of the Michigan Fitness Foundation. Senior Architect Magda Smolenska, and Senior Mechanical Engineering Technician Jeff Green, accepted the award on behalf of Progressive AE.

Progressive AE began its wellness program in 2005. In 2015, the company’s wellness committee started working with the Grand Rapids-based corporate wellness expert, The McCahill Group, to refresh and reenergize the program. Known as “Wellness by Design,” Progressive AE’s workplace wellness program includes individual and group on-side health coaching, on-site fitness classes including yoga, live recipe demonstrations and tastings, on-site health screenings, fitness center, monthly meditation sessions and company-wide fitness challenges.

“As Progressive AE’s wellness partner, The McCahill Group is very excited to witness their well-deserved recognition for promoting well-being in the workplace,” said Ryan McCahill, Vice President, The McCahill Group. “Progressive AE’s wellness program is fully supported by leadership and has been embraced by the entire company. They are open to new ideas and continually embrace new ways to improve their wellness program.”
