Welcome to the Team! Bill Culhane Joins Progressive AE
We are thrilled to announce the appointment of Bill Culhane, RA, as a Senior Project Manager. In this role, Culhane will use his expansive experience as an architect, project manager, and owner’s representative to successfully manage the firm’s growing number of large-scale projects.
“We are making a significant investment to meet the growing needs of our clients, which means hiring the best and brightest,” said Bradley Thomas, president and CEO. “We are excited to have Bill on board to lead the firm’s large-scale and complex projects. We believe Bill’s experience and expertise will bring value to our clients and our firm that is unmatched.”
Culhane joins Progressive AE from Kramer Management Group where he served as an owner’s representative for Lansing Board of Water & Light and McLaren Healthcare. Before his time with Kramer, Culhane was the vice president of healthcare at Rockford Construction. Clients included Spectrum Health, Metro Health Hospital and Mercy Health St. Mary’s. Culhane has previously worked with Progressive AE. From 1997 to 2005, he led the construction services group and was responsible for the management of one of the firm’s most well-known local projects, DeVos Place Convention Center. Other significant projects that have benefitted from Bill’s leadership include the second phase of Van Andel Research Institute and Michigan State University Grand Rapids’ Research Center.
“I look forward to growing the firm’s expertise with these types of large-scale projects,” said Culhane. “In their 56-year-history, Progressive AE has established itself as an expert in a wide variety of markets and project sizes. I’m excited to be a part of their continued growth and help lead a new era of project work.”
Culhane possesses a Master of Architecture, Bachelor of Architecture, and Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Lawrence Technological University. He is a registered architect in the State of Michigan and a LEED accredited professional.
